Meet The Staff
Pastor Samuel Walker and wife Heather: Pastor Sam graduated from Colorado Christian University after studying Biblical Studies with a language emphasis (Hebrew/Greek). He has served in positions of leadership and Christian ministry since 1989 and on short term missions in several countries. Sam met his wife, Heather while serving the Lord on a short term mission trip. They had both begun to explore their Jewish Roots and incorporate what they were learning with their faith. They have 6 children, and 4 Grandkids. In November 2010 Pastor Sam accepted the call from First Baptist Church Paradise as Senior Pastor. Heather Walker serves as the Administrative Assistant for the church.
Pastor Dave Bruns and wife Ginny: Pastor Dave serves as our Pastor of Care. He has been in full time pastoral ministry for 42 years
serving in small and large churches throughout his career, most recently at Paradise Alliance Church for 13 years. Dave earned his bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministries from Grace College of the Bible in Omaha. He also earned his master’s degree in Christian Ministries from the International School of Theology with Campus Crusade for Christ. Dave has a real passion for visiting people in hospitals, skilled care centers, and enjoys home visits. He’s been married to Ginny, his wife of 45 years. He has 4 grown children, Brooke, Kim, Kris, and Dan. His daughters are nurses, and his son works with a local insurance agency in Chico. He is a proud
grandpa to four amazing grandkids (Ian, Flynn, Jasmine, and Ethan) who he loves like crazy.
