Anointed One

The Anointed One, Christos(Greek) or Moshiach(Hebrew) is where we get the words Christ and Messiah. These two words have the same meaning. However, why do we need an Anointed One? Very simply put, because we need saving. The "Anointed One" is anointed to deliver and save. Jesus or Yeshua(Hebrew) means salvation. He is the "Anointed One" who has come to save His people Israel. Jesus is the "Anointed One" to save and restore not only Israel but all nations, peoples and creation back to God the Father.
